Jetstory APS-23 Aegis — Standalone Active Protection System

The Jetstory APS-23 Aegis is a standalone Active Protection System that integrates onto any armored vehicle, providing a final layer of defense against anti-tank missiles, RPG rounds, and guided artillery that cannot be defeated by passive armor alone. Aegis uses a multi-spectrum sensor suite of 6 millimeter-wave Doppler radars and 4 infrared cameras positioned around the vehicle, detecting incoming projectiles from all directions the moment they leave the launch point. The AI classification algorithm identifies the threat in 0.01 seconds and activates the appropriate interceptor: miniature shotgun rounds for RPG and slow-speed missiles, or homing interceptor rounds for high-speed smart missiles. Each vehicle mounts 12 reloadable launch tubes. The system operates fully automatically or with crew confirmation. Safe for infantry beyond 20m. Reaction time: 0.3 seconds. Successful intercept rate: 95% in testing. Compatible with all armored vehicles.
