Jetstory NBC-27 Sentinel — CBRN Reconnaissance Vehicle

The Jetstory NBC-27 Sentinel is a CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) Reconnaissance Vehicle designed to reconnoiter, detect, measure, and map areas contaminated by chemical or biological weapons or radiological/nuclear incidents, providing critical information to commanders for response planning. The Sentinel carries 47 CBRN sensors organized in 4 external clusters continuously sampling air and soil, capable of detecting more than 100 standard chemical and biological agents within 30 seconds. An automated soil sampling system collects samples from inside the vehicle without personnel dismounting. A multi-purpose gamma/neutron/alpha/beta radiation meter suite. A real-time GPS-linked contamination mapping system continuously updates command with contamination boundaries. A positive-pressure HEPA-filtered cabin with activated carbon filtration protects the crew while operating in contaminated areas. MOPP Level A NBC suits provided for crew when dismounting is required. Automatic vehicle decontamination system. Crew: 4 CBRN specialists. Weight: 18 tonnes.
